FEU - DI. Constantly developing partnership with our Danish colleagues

Ukrainian Employers Awards - the main award of the FEU - is in Copenhagen! In the hands of the CEO of the Confederation of Danish Industry Lars Sandal Sorensen and his deputy Thomas Bustrup.

We present this award to those who make a significant contribution to the development of Ukraine, its economy and industry.

Our strategic Danish partners - Dansk Industri - DI – received the award in the crucially important category Supporting Ukraine - Supporting Ukrainian business.

Supporting Ukrainian business creates jobs for Ukrainians and income taxes that support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which defend the freedom of Ukraine.

The FEU and DI - the largest business association in Denmark - are connected by more than six years of cooperation and numerous projects for business development.

We feel the strengthening of support from Danish partners since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.

In 2021, with the support of DI and DANIDA, the FEU conducted a global study of ways to deepen Ukraine's European integration, and today the second part is ready on the prospects for integration into the single market of important sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

In cooperation with DI, the FEU Climate Platform was created to adapt Ukrainian companies to the "green transition", CBAM and sustainable development. It also became the first online training platform for Ukrainian companies. Also the first greenhouse gas emissions calculator was created for them.

We are developing commercial opportunities for our industries. A big thank you to DI and the Danish Industrial Foundation for the trust in such difficult times that led to the creation of the Danish-Ukrainian Business Council.

As part of its work, about 10 visits of business delegations to Denmark and Ukraine have already taken place. More than 70 Ukrainian companies took part in them.

We have real cases of B2B cooperation between the businesses of our countries.

All of them are a vivid demonstration of effective partnership in the reconstruction of Ukraine.

We are grateful for the support of the work of the Danish Export Investment Fund (EIFO) in Ukraine, which does truly unique things, financing not only the work of Danish businesses in Ukraine, but also joint Danish-Ukrainian projects and the reconstruction of Ukrainian industry in the private and public sectors.

We thank Denmark for the unique form of support for the Ukrainian defense industry, where the funds allocated for this by the Danish state are directed to the purchase of equipment necessary for our Armed Forces from Ukrainian manufacturers. We see great opportunities for cooperation here, which FEU Defense and DI Defence are working on.

Of course, the successful European integration of Ukraine is also among our key joint priorities.

And this is far from a complete list of ways of our cooperation with Danish partners.

During this visit, we discussed the strategic directions of our cooperation for the next two years, new projects and initiatives.

We reached agreements on the launch of our new major project, which will include European integration and very important initiatives for the labour market of Ukraine.

We continue to work on expanding the partnership and involving new foreign national business associations in our cooperation.

In particular, as part of cooperation with DI, we signed a memorandum and a statement with employers from Moldova, Georgia and Armenia on the impact of CBAM on the private sector.

The latter contains our important position on the steps that should be taken by the authorities to facilitate the work of Ukrainian companies in the current extremely difficult conditions and maintain their competitiveness.

More details in the upcoming publications.

We thank our Danish friends and partners for years of fruitful cooperation and important joint work that is still ahead.

Pay attention to the last photo near the DI office - it shows the flags of Ukraine, which fly in the very heart of the Danish capital.

TAK, Danmark!
